1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored by a website in your browser. Similar browser storage can remember a choice without being a cookie. Some technologies are necessary for a service to work; others, including analytics, require a choice.
2. What this website uses
| Name | Purpose | Type | Usual duration |
|---|---|---|---|
place-and-proof-analytics-consent | Remembers whether you accepted or declined optional analytics. | Necessary first-party local storage | Until browser data is cleared or the choice is replaced |
_ga | Helps Google Analytics distinguish one browser from another. | Optional analytics cookie | Up to 2 years |
_ga_<container-id> | Helps Google Analytics maintain session information. | Optional analytics cookie | Up to 2 years |
Google Analytics is used to understand visits and useful actions such as contact-button clicks. Form answers are not deliberately sent to Google Analytics. Learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
3. Accepting, declining or changing your choice
On the main website, use the cookie panel to accept or decline analytics. If you decline, the analytics tag remains disabled and existing Place & Proof Google Analytics cookies are removed where the browser permits.
To change a saved choice, return to the homepage and select Cookie settings in the footer. You can also clear cookies and site storage in your browser. Blocking optional cookies will not prevent you from reading the website or submitting an enquiry.
4. Enquiry form
The contact form is delivered by Formspree when you submit it. Formspree processes the information needed to deliver the request and protect its service. See Formspree’s privacy policy and the Place & Proof privacy notice.
