Website terms

These terms apply when you visit this website or request a free public-profile check. Paid client work is governed by a separate written service agreement.

1. About this website

This website is operated by Callum Waterman trading as Place & Proof in Kent, United Kingdom. Contact: callum@placeandproof.co.uk.

Place & Proof is an independent service and is not Google, part of Google, certified by Google or endorsed by Google.

2. Information and free checks

Website content and free profile checks provide general business observations based largely on information visible at the time. They are not legal, tax or financial advice, and they do not promise a particular result.

Google can change its products, policies and search systems. Profile visibility may also vary by searcher, device, location, competition and other factors outside Place & Proof’s control.

3. Enquiries are not service contracts

Submitting a form, receiving a report or discussing a service does not create a paid client relationship. Work begins only after scope, price, authority, data handling and other terms have been agreed in writing.

Google Business Profile is provided by Google at no extra cost. Place & Proof charges for its independent management, content, reporting and advisory work.

4. No ranking or commercial guarantee

Place & Proof does not guarantee rankings, profile visibility, calls, leads, sales, review removal or uninterrupted availability of any Google feature. Any aims, forecasts or examples are not guarantees.

5. Acceptable use

You must not misuse the website, attempt unauthorised access, interfere with its operation, submit malicious material, impersonate another person or business, or use the form for unlawful, abusive or misleading purposes.

6. Intellectual property

Unless stated otherwise, the Place & Proof name, website design, written material, audit format and original content belong to Callum Waterman. You may view and print material for your own internal business evaluation. You may not copy, sell, publish or adapt it commercially without written permission.

Google, Google Business Profile, Google Search and Google Maps are trademarks or services of Google LLC and are used only to identify the relevant products.

7. Links and third-party services

Links to third-party sites are provided for convenience and context. Place & Proof does not control their content or availability. Your use of Google, Formspree and other third-party services is also subject to their own terms and policies.

8. Responsibility

Reasonable care is taken to keep the website useful and accurate, but it is provided on an “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by law, Place & Proof is not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, or for business losses caused solely by reliance on general website content.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits responsibility where doing so would be unlawful, including responsibility for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

9. Privacy

Personal information is handled as described in the privacy notice. Optional analytics are explained in the cookie notice.

10. Changes and governing law

These terms may be updated when the website or business changes. The version in force is shown by the date at the top. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the courts that apply under that law.
